FIGHT UPDATE

Well done to  Rikki Beale, who fought his first fight of the year. He lost in a close white collar boxing bout held in Stevenage, lasting three great rounds. The judges could not split a decision between him and his opponent in the first two rounds, and stepping out for the last round, Rikki was slightly outworked which gave his opponent the victory. Two days later, Rikki was offered another white collar boxing bout in Dorchester a week later. He took the bout and won in another close fight.

Shaun King was also offered a white collar boxing bout at the last opportunity in Dorchester, and willingly took it. After coming out strong in the first round, he faded slightly in rounds two and three and lost the bout on a points decision.

Very good effort for both fighters who will be fighting at Absolute Adrenaline – Demolition at the O2 Academy in Bournemouth on 11 April 2010.

ABSOLUTE ADRENALINE – DEMOLITION

Well, its almost here. The very best of kickboxing, Thai boxing, MMA and white collar boxing in one show. My opponent, Odje Manda of France is a Savate champion, European kickboxing champion and known K-1 fighter. This will be a massive test for me after a year out from competing. Training is going well alongside all the other fighhters in the gym. It is matched at 75kg, and I have 4 kilos yet to lose. I hope that you can all come along to support everyone who is fighting on the night. You can grab tickets from me through the contact form on this site.

GREG WINTER

A big “well done” to Greg Winter for completing a charity spar-a-thon for the Amelia Appeal Fight Against Cancer, Neuroblastoma in Canford Magna. I went down to support him and sparred a couple of rounds with him. Greg looked tired when we arrived, he was up to two solid hours of round after round and was suffering from cramp, yet he soldiered on. He done amazingly well for the charity. If you can support in any way, please get in touch through the contact form below, any donations will be greatly received.

Well that’s about it for now. Until next time, chin down, guard up and never forget to duck!
