Well done to our very own kickboxing instructor Joss Agne for her second 120ft abseil from the water tower at Mannings Heath in Poole! She was happy to throw herself off the tower for the Mayor Of Poole’s charities.
Look out for her next radical venture in July, where she and Clara Norman of the Bulldog Team will be attempting the Tough Guy in Wolverhampton!
Does this girl ever keep still???

Hello All,
Firstly, can I send a BIG THANK YOU to all those who attended Absolute Adrenaline – Demolition at the O2 Academy in Bournemouth on Sunday 11 April! It was a great turnout, especially to see so many supporters, friends, students and non-students present. I’m sure you all thought the show was highly entertaining and found it encouraging to get back into training!
I’m sure you can all say that the JOT students done their best efforts on the night and I hope those who walked away with a loss will learn from the experience. However, I am proud of all those who fought and hope they enjoy their time off from training.
A round up of the results; Pro Kickboxer Scott Rowley, won the IKF British Title against Aaron Robinson (Lincoln) with a spectacular 6th round KO; last-minute step in Alex Davis (WRSA) beat James Cornick on a majority decision, John Whittam won the Southern Area Title against James Penny (TS Kickboxing Stevenage) with a referee stoppage in the 3rd round, Rob Ellick (All Or Nothing, Bridgwater) beat Rikki Beale on a unanimous points decision for the Southern Area Title, Dean Alexander (Team Bulldog) beat Mads Valencia (Norway) also Jefferson George beat Dave Giles (Team Bulldog), Shaun King beat Ben Grant (Salisbury) all with the same unanimous points decision, White Collar Boxer Craig Jones lost with majority points going to his Norwegian counterpart Rodrigues Nyzoyibuka.
Hopefully, after all these great fights, you managed to stay to the end and watch my win against a very strong, very clever Odje Manda from France. Manda was a great adversary for me, quick and strong, however after the 2nd round, I sussed out his movements and went on to beating him on a unanimous points decision. I hope the French team enjoyed there visit to Absolute Adrenaline.
Well, so thats a quick round up of the night…Keep an eye on the site for my return into the “Lions Den” towards in the end of the year, in the meantime, see you at the gym!

It’s a matter of days away and the JOT fighters are ’simmering down’ and conserving their energy for the main event at Absolute Adrenaline this Sunday. All fighters were very focussed and still training hard throughout the holidays.
The Easter weekend held another fighting event, where JOT travelled to the MEN in Manchester to watch the David Haye Vs John Ruiz boxing match. The atmosphere in the MEN was phenomenal and there were some excellent bouts in one night; the likes of George Groves, Carl Dilks Vs Carl Drake, to name a few. Its safe to say that after the weekend of boxing and training, John Orchard is now fired up and ready to meet his opponent this Sunday at Absolute Adrenaline!
If you havent got your tickets already – be quick, it will be a spectacular night for JOT and the Bulldog Gym fighters! We wish Good Luck to everyone fighting!

FIGHT UPDATE
Well done to Rikki Beale, who fought his first fight of the year. He lost in a close white collar boxing bout held in Stevenage, lasting three great rounds. The judges could not split a decision between him and his opponent in the first two rounds, and stepping out for the last round, Rikki was slightly outworked which gave his opponent the victory. Two days later, Rikki was offered another white collar boxing bout in Dorchester a week later. He took the bout and won in another close fight.
Shaun King was also offered a white collar boxing bout at the last opportunity in Dorchester, and willingly took it. After coming out strong in the first round, he faded slightly in rounds two and three and lost the bout on a points decision.
Very good effort for both fighters who will be fighting at Absolute Adrenaline – Demolition at the O2 Academy in Bournemouth on 11 April 2010.
ABSOLUTE ADRENALINE – DEMOLITION
Well, its almost here. The very best of kickboxing, Thai boxing, MMA and white collar boxing in one show. My opponent, Odje Manda of France is a Savate champion, European kickboxing champion and known K-1 fighter. This will be a massive test for me after a year out from competing. Training is going well alongside all the other fighhters in the gym. It is matched at 75kg, and I have 4 kilos yet to lose. I hope that you can all come along to support everyone who is fighting on the night. You can grab tickets from me through the contact form on this site.
GREG WINTER
A big “well done” to Greg Winter for completing a charity spar-a-thon for the Amelia Appeal Fight Against Cancer, Neuroblastoma in Canford Magna. I went down to support him and sparred a couple of rounds with him. Greg looked tired when we arrived, he was up to two solid hours of round after round and was suffering from cramp, yet he soldiered on. He done amazingly well for the charity. If you can support in any way, please get in touch through the contact form below, any donations will be greatly received.
Well that’s about it for now. Until next time, chin down, guard up and never forget to duck!

Welcome to JOTtings, this will be where you can find out all latest news and events going on at johnorchardtraining.
It’s already been a busy couple of months this year, trying to get everybody fit and and back into a training routine, myself included:-) After a month in Thailand finding out how the Thais do it – I am now preparing to fight on the next Absolute Adrenaline event at the O2 in Bournemouth on April 11. This fight will be a 6 round contest, Kickboxing rules, opponent will be named very shortly. Also on the bill will be White Collar Boxing and MMA.
If you are interested in attending, please contact me for tickets through the contact form on this website, also there are VIP ringside tables of 6-8 people if you wish to watch the event in style! This will be my first fight in over a year, so I am very excited and hope you can all be there.
This Saturday (27 feb) my first boxer will be in action, Rikki Beale from Bournemouth will be competing in Stevenage. This will be Rikki’s first boxing fight, after a sucessful year last year at Kickboxing – leaving him with a 4 win 1 loss record. I will let you know how he gets on.
I have now formed a partnership with leading celebrity personal trainer – Kris Caan, we will be doing small group training at the Bulldog Gym every Tuesday 07:00, for busy businessmen who have a small amount of time to dedicate to training and who prefer to train early mornings – making them fresh and sharp for their busy day ahead. It will consist of splitting the the group in 2, I will train 1 group for 45 mins purely boxing technique, Kris will train the other group fitness and weights, then we swap over. This will be a real fun class ideal for people with little time on their hands as you will be fitting 2 training sessions into 1, it will be on a booking only basis so if you are interested please use the contact form on this website.
That’s about it at the moment- I will be on here again very soon, if you any queries please feel free to contact me, either through the website or join friends with me on Facebook . Until the next time take care – keep fit.
